Prayers of Mother Teresa

All we do-our prayer, our work, our sufferings for Jesus. Our life has no other reason or motivation.
This is a point many people do not understand.
I serve Jesus 24 hours a day. Whatever I do is for Him. And He gives me strength.
I love Him in the poor and the poor in Him. But always the Lord comes first.
Whenever a visitor comes to our house, I take him to the chapel to pray awhile. I tell him, “Let us first greet the Master of the House. Jesus is here.”
It is for Him we work, to Him we devote ourselves. He gives us the strength to carry on this life and to do so with happiness.
Without Him we could do what we do. We certainly could not continue doing it for a whole lifetime. One year, two years, perhaps; but not during a whole life, without thought of reward, without expectation of anything good except to suffer with Him who loved us so much that He gave His life for us.
Without Jesus our life would be meaningless, incomprehensible.
Jesus explains Our life.

Mothers Meditation

This is Jesus to me:
The Word made flesh
The Bread of Life
The Victim offered for our sins
on the Cross
The Sacrifice offered at the Holy Mass
for the sins of the world and mine
The Word-to be spoken
The Truth-to be told
The Way-to be walked
The Light-to be lit
The Life-to be lived
The Love-to beloved
The Joy-to be shared
The Sacrifice-to be offered
The Peace-to be given
The Bread of Life-to be eaten
The Hungry-to be fed
The Thirsty-to be satiated
The Naked-to be clothed
The Homeless-to be taken in
The Sick-to be healed
The Lonely-to be loved
The Unwanted-to be wanted
The Leper-to wash his wounds
The Beggar-to give him a smile
The Drunkard-to listen to him
The Mental-to protect him
The Little One-to embrace him
The Blind-to lead him
The Dumb-to speak for him
The Crippled-to walk with him
The Drug addict-to befriend him
The Prostitute-to remove from
danger and befriend her
The Prisoner-to be visited
The Old-to be served
To me Jesus is my God
Jesus is my Spouse
Jesus is my Life
Jesus is my only Love
Jesus is my All in all
Jesus is my Everything

Words of Mother Teresa

On Joy

Joy is Prayer. Joy is strength. Joy is love. Joy is a net of love with which we can catch souls.
Joy shows from the eyes of people. It appears when one speaks and walks. It shows itself in our eyes, on our faces, in our attitude and in our gestures.
It cannot be closed up inside us. It reacts outside. So when people find in your eyes that happiness, they will see that they are the beloved children of God.

On Love

Open your hearts to the love of God which He will give you.
He loves you with tenderness. He will give you love, not to keep, but to share.

Where does love begin? In our homes.
When does it begin? When we pray together.

It is easy to love the people far away.
It is not so easy to love those close to us.
Bring love into your home, for this is where our love for each other must
start.

Love should be as normal to us as living and breathing.

On Smiles

So let us always meet each other with a smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.

Let us keep that joy of loving Jesus in our hearts and share that joy with all we meet. Radiating joy is real We have no reason not to be happy, because we have Christ with us. Christ in our hearts, Christ in the poor, Christ in the smile we give and the smile we receive. Meet each other with a smile, especially when it is difficult to smile. SMILE AT EACH OTHER. We never know how much a simple smile can do. A smile is the beginning of love.

On Work

Wherever God has put you, that is your vocation.
It is not what we do, but how much love we put into it.
To work without love is slavery. We can only love one person at a time
and serve one person at a time.

My business card reads:
The fruit of prayer is faith.
The fruit of faith is love.
The fruit of love is service.
The fruit of service is peace. This is very good business.

Articles About Mother Teresa

June 16, 2005

Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus,

While fully acknowledging the gravity of her condition, Concepcion Ramos clains “with God all things are possible”.

In this faith, Concepcion and her dear faimily (parishioners of Saint Philip the Aposlte Catholic Church in Bakersfield, California) are asking The Lord, for the sake of her two very young children, to deliver Concepcion from this terminal cervical cancer.

We ask you today, to join with us in prayre, through the intercession of Blessed Mother Teresa, asking, according to the perfect will of The Father, that the Lord Jesus will, in the power of the Holy Spirit, grant Concepcion the desire of her heart.

O Mary, Immaculate Conception, pray fo rus who have recourse to thee!

With our love,

Anne and Charles Balderas (Brother Mario, Missionaries of Charity,  Los Angeles, asks that we fast-one, two days of the week with Concepcion for the saving of souls)

Dear Marlene –

We are close, very long time friends of Wynne and Phil Stefanelli and I heard you shared at Torrance Magnificat.

Charlie had the enormous blessing of taking these pictures of Mother when we had the miraculous privilege of seeing Mother receive her Nobel Peace Prize in 1979.  I ask your prayers, dear friend of Mother’s.
